ABOUT US

Efrat started her legal career in academia. Following her LL.B. degree from the Hebrew University, she worked as a research and teaching assistant to some of the most highly respected professors at institutions such as the Hebrew University, Reichman University, and the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. She also taught various subjects in one of the leading preparation programs for the Israeli Bar Exam.
After earning her LL.M. with distinction from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Efrat returned to Israel to practice law in top-tier law firms, focusing on corporate practice and M&A. Until early 2022, she worked in leading firms—serving in recent years as a partner—specializing in complex commercial transactions, M&A, and hi-tech law. Efrat has advised companies of all sizes and stages and is deeply familiar with a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
Efrat’s legal expertise is enriched by her strong business acumen. She approaches each transaction not only from a legal perspective but also through a strategic, commercial lens, giving her clients a unique advantage throughout negotiations and deal execution. She has led high-level deals for major international corporations across diverse sectors, including technology, retail, pharma and life sciences, food and agrotech, biotech, and more.
In recent years, Efrat has become increasingly involved in the intersection of artificial intelligence and the legal profession. She lectures regularly on AI and law, advises companies on legal and regulatory issues related to AI, and is regarded as a thought leader in this rapidly evolving space.
On a personal note:
Efrat is fluent in both English and Hebrew, though when it comes to fiction, she prefers to read in English. She enjoys solving cryptic crosswords and logic puzzles—activities that enhance her analytical thinking—as well as playing guitar, cooking, and writing, all of which fuel the creativity she brings to her legal work. Efrat is also passionate about sports, particularly basketball and scuba diving, both of which demand skill, teamwork, and discipline.
Most of Efrat’s friends and colleagues simply call her by her surname—Shuster.
